BARS Gold Level accreditation
Cobham was a founding member of the Flight Safety Foundation Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) program, having held Gold accreditation since its inception in 2010. The BARS program was established to meet an industry-identified need for a common global aviation safety standard for application to onshore resources sector aviation support activities.
The BARS Standard has been adopted by many of the world's largest resource companies to assist them with the management of their aviation risk.
We continue to maintain BARS Gold Level accreditation, and have fully approved and audited Regulatory compliance and Safety Management Systems in place across our operations.
Cobham has developed a mature Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approved Safety Management System (SMS), which is aligned to ISO 45001.
We also have a High-Capacity Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and CASA Certificate of Maintenance approvals.
We maintain a strong relationship with aviation regulatory authorities. We are regularly audited by CASA and other third-party organisations to provide the assurance that safety standards and regulatory compliance are always maintained.
