Cobham’s operations are supported by a substantial aircraft engineering and maintenance capability that ensures highly reliable operations. Technical support encompasses line maintenance, base maintenance, logistics, planning, technical and design capability.
Cobham's head office, 24/7 operations control centre, purpose-built heavy maintenance hangar are located at the Adelaide Airport in South Australia. This is also where its engineering and design teams are located.
Cobham conducts heavy maintenance for its Special Mission fleet in-house in Adelaide within its purpose-built heavy maintenance hangar. During the mobilisation phase of the Challenger 604 jet aircraft for AMSA, the vast majority of modifications and mission system integrations were conducted in-house in Adelaide.
In Cairns, Cobham employs more than 100 people to support its search-and-rescue and surveillance operations in the region. Cairns is also home to Cobham’s Mission Systems Workshop.
