Team Cobham raises almost $8,500 for juvenile diabetes

In October, a group of Cobham employees formed “Team Cobham” and entered into the JDRF One Walk Step Challenge, each pledging to walk 120,000 steps during that month to support the 120,000 Australians living with Type 1 diabetes (T1D).

JDRF is the leading supporter of T1D research in the world. JDRF has transformed the understanding of T1D, and has been part of every breakthrough in T1D care in the past 40 years.

By the end of the Challenge, Team Cobham had raised nearly $8,500 for this worthy cause, and placed 5th on the national fundraising leaderboard.

We are grateful to all our staff that participated, and would like to give a special mention to Rosalie Supple from our finance team, who inspired us to get involved. She is a passionate advocate of JDRF, as her son has been living with type 1 diabetes for most of his life.

We were thrilled to play a small role to help JDRF create a world without type 1 diabetes.

We respectfully acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners on whose lands we work, live and fly. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.
