Puppies on a plane! Cobham supports Guide Dogs WA
Today is International Guide Dog Day, and the very first online Giving Day for Guide Dogs WA.
Cobham partnered with Guide Dogs WA today by providing training for Guide Dogs and helping to promote this important fundraising event.
This morning, three guide dogs-in-training boarded a mock Cobham Aviation charter flight (“NC-K9”) departing at 1010 hours from PER, destination “RUF”. This provided a fantastic opportunity for the guide dogs and their handlers to experience checking in, boarding and moving through an aircraft.
Today only, from 8am – 8pm WST, all dollars donated are being quadrupled by generous matching partners of Guide Dogs WA. Giving today means changing 4x the lives! With a few hours to go, Cobham’s fundraising team has so far helped to raise more than $3000 towards the WA Guide and Assistance Dog training program.
We loved hosting our three furry passengers: Peter, Emma and Charles, and their mobility instructors today, and playing our role in supporting access for all.
