Cobham wins new FIFO contracts
Cobham Aviation Services Australia has recently been awarded two initial three year contracts to provide fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) services to the Jaguar mine site owned by Round Oak Minerals and to the Nova mining operation owned by Independence Group (IGO).
Services, which commenced earlier this year, involve six flights a week using Cobham’s RJ100 jet aircraft to suit the clients’ requirements. Four flights per week will service the Nova mine site, flying from Perth to the Nova Aerodrome in the Fraser Range of Western Australia, and two flights per week will service the Jaguar mine site, flying from Perth to Leonora Aerodrome in the Goldfields Esperance region of Western Australia.
Cobham General Manager of Regional Services, Dean Brennan, said the new contract awards reflected Cobham’s competitive offering within a highly cost-driven environment.
“We have been providing safe, reliable and efficient aviation services to the mining and resource sector in Australia for more than 25 years and our flight and cabin crew are highly regarded for their outstanding professionalism and personalised service. We are delighted to have extended our services to Round Oak Minerals and to IGO.”
