Cobham helps dog find its forever home
Everybody loves a good news story…
Cobham recently flew a charter flight to Broome in partnership with social impact travel group BlueSky, taking passengers from Perth to Broome Pride.
Together with the Rotary Club of Crawley, we worked with animal welfare group SAFE (Saving Animals from Euthanasia) to use the opportunity of the returning flight to Perth to make one dog and an elderly Perth couple very happy.
SAFE had a beautiful dog called Diesel who needed a new home. A retired couple in Perth was desperately looking for a dog, but due to COVID-19, there was a shortage of dogs to adopt in Perth.
That’s where we stepped in. Cobham staff worked closely with Rotary and SAFE, and flew Diesel the dog from Broome to his new home in Perth at no cost.
The couple’s son got in contact with us to let us know that Diesel has settled into life in his new home very well, and his parents are very happy with their new addition! Diesel’s new Mum says he is easy to walk, and he sleeps next to the bed on his new Dad’s side – and can often be found on the lounge sneaking cuddles.
We are so happy to have played a part in uniting Diesel with his new family.
