Cobham files to Kununurra with BlueSky

Last month Cobham flew 110 guests of BlueSky to Kununurra – the gateway to exploring the famous Kimberley region - for three days of regional adventures and sightseeing.

Cobham partners with BlueSky on its unique travel events, encouraging regional tourism in an environmentally conscious way while fundraising for the Rotary of Crawley’s service projects and supporting WA businesses and communities.

BlueSky project co-lead Regan Ashley said that “with Cobham’s help, we have been able to grow our fundraising project and invest in a growing number of regional communities”.

Each BlueSky travel event provides a range of optional events and tours, partnering with the local community and businesses.

“Kununurra is the fourth destination for the BlueSky Social Impact Travel project, and thanks to Cobham’s incredible support it will not be the last,” Regan said.

More than $105,000 is estimated to have been injected into the local Kununurra economy over the weekend, with thousands raised for the Rotary Club of Crawley’s youth, community and health initiatives, including:

  • Kiara College financial scholarships for disadvantaged families/students
  • Street Doctor, a Perth mobile medical clinic for homeless persons
  • The fight to eradication polio globally through the End Polio Now Campaign
  • Youth development programs like the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and Dismantle, a program helping disadvantaged young people acquire new skills and experience to become self-sufficient.
