Cobham charter commemorates ANZAC Centenary
Cobham Aviation Services provided a return charter flight for the Legacy Club of Adelaide on 28 March 2015 to fly 70 supporters from Adelaide to Canberra to commemorate 100 years of ANZAC.
The ANZAC themed day trip encompassed a private tour of the Australian War Memorial and the Royal Military College – Duntroon, including a barbeque lunch hosted by the College.
“Cobham’s on-ground and in-flight crew provided very professional and personable assistance to all those travelling on the day,” said Peter Ali, Legacy Club of Adelaide CEO.
Cobham is proud to support Legacy, a non-for-profit voluntary organisation dedicated to caring for the families of incapacitated and deceased veterans. Legacy’s support and services now extend to include the dependants of members of today's Australian Defence Force who lose their lives or are incapacitated as a result of their military service.
Between 2014 and 2018 Australia will commemorate the Anzac Centenary, marking 100 years since the nation’s involvement in the First World War. During the Anzac Centenary, Australians will remember not only the original ANZACs who served at Gallipoli and the Western Front, but commemorate more than a century of service by Australian servicemen and women.
