B1 LAME – Adelaide

We are seeking to appoint B1 and B2 LAMEs in Base Maintenance and Line Maintenance. The position is open to a suitably licenced Dash 8, Q400, CL604 and BAE146 type rated LAMEs and Non-type rated LAMEs. For the Line Maintenance positions it is preferred that the successful person has a Q400 rating.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of passengers and crew, through diligent application of work processes
  • Maintain plant, equipment, components and materials are maintained and serviceable
  • Perform any other reasonable duties, as required by the business

Skills and Experience

  • Experienced LAME with either Dash 8 Classic, Q400, BAE 146 or CL604 Type rating preferred.
  • Training will be supplied for LAMEs that are successful who are not type rated on these types.
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain an airside drivers license
  • Possession of, or eligibility for an ASIC

What we need

The Role

We are accepting applications for multiple Deployment Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with either DHC 8 B1 or B2 Type rating. We will also consider suitable AMEs, and non-type rated LAMES and provide a Dash 8 Type course for the selected engineers.

These positions deploy from Perth to Christmas and Cocos Islands in support of Cobham’s contract with Australian Border Force (ABF).

During deployment, the role will operate initially on a nominal 22 days on/18 days off roster, with 2 days rostered off on the islands during deployment. All flights and accommodation whilst on deployment will be covered by the company. – The roster will be drafted to align with the RPT service ex Perth.


Key Responsibilities

• Conduct aircraft maintenance and certify for this in accordance with our Cobham Special Mission Engineering MOE and approved procedures
• Travel on aircraft as flying spanner when required
• Ensure efficient and effective use of time on shift to complete all assigned tasks
• Work in a remote Line Maintenance environment
• Audit of completed aircraft maintenance certification to ensure compliance

The Role

The Maintenance Planner reports to Airworthiness Technical Manager and is responsible for the planning and scheduling of Heavy/Line maintenance events. Organize maintenance work packages, including identifying and ordering parts, materials, and equipment required.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and comply with the requirements of the Cobham Safety Management System (SMS) relevant to the position
  • Plan and prepare work packages for performance of scheduled maintenance
  • Prepare and maintain a long-term maintenance forecast plan
  • Audit of completed Work Packages to ensure that all planned maintenance requirements have been carried out
  • Ensure compliance with the MRD or MPD Revisions
  • Assist with monitoring the continued effectiveness of the aircraft maintenance programs, including corrosion control
  • Monitor all forecasts and deferrals to scheduled checks, to ensure no overruns occur and cause any warrants
  • Update and review RAMCO which is the MIS
  • Liaising with approved maintenance organisations regarding scheduled maintenance
  • Liaise with relevant parties like Technical Service Engineer and hangers for AD’s,SB’s,EO’s,TSI’s and modifications.
  • Maintain the register of one-off maintenance extension for approval from Head of Fleet
  • Review aircraft engine removals, landing gear changes by developing work packages and work orders for hangers prior to scheduling
  • Liaise with logistics and engineering concerning tools, spares, manpower and hangar availability
  • Produce long term maintenance plans ensuring maximum practical utilisation


Skills & Experience

  • Approx. 2- 3 years experience in Line and/or heavy maintenance planning roles
  • Intermediate excel skills and knowledge of any MIS e.g. Ramco, TRAX, SAP
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals

About the role

This position will support the Flight Operations and Safety Department to ensure compliance with relevant Civil Aviation Orders, Regulations and associated legislation.

Below are some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role:

  • Manage and produce the Flight Operations Support manuals and publications
  • Review Aerodrome obstacle survey data and annual technical inspections for NJE operations
  • Liaise with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and Air services Australia on all Flight Operations Support issues under the direction of the HOFO
  • Research and report on Operational Support Systems suitable to enhance business operations
  • Administer Flight Crew EFBs and their content
  • Provision of NOTAM Watch and corresponding advice/solutions as required due to operational changes
  • Assisting the Head of Safety in the analysis and feedback of flight surveillance data to the relevant managers within the Flight Operations department
  • In conjunction with the Head of Safety ensure LOSA Observers and Cabin Surveillance Observers are adequately trained to conduct surveillance duties
  • Prepare flight surveillance and flight data analysis reports as required
  • In conjunction with the Head of Safety conduct detailed analysis of flight surveillance data, including Line Operations Safety Audits
  • Assist in the identification of situations that may require immediate corrective action in relation to flight safety
  • Assist Flight Crew with ad-hoc or disrupt flight planning and aircraft performance data
  • Adhere to company standards, in compliance with all the relevant laws, whilst on duty or on the premises of NJE or any of its clients or associated companies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
